Prepare before the interview...
The evening before your interview, have a relaxing bath and get a good night's sleep. It will boost your confidence if you awake feeling fresh and alert. Be sure you know how to get there. Calculate how long the journey will take you and leave in good time. Remember to take money for the car park, drinks machine etc; What you wear depends on the type of job and company. Although, even if it is a young, trendy advertising company - don't be too daring! A clean smart suit is always safe.

Make a good impression...
Be confident. Greet the interviewer with a smile and firm handshake. Wait to be asked before sitting down. Be polite and show good manners, you will be appreciated for them. Most people, including the interviewer, are nervous at interviews so don't let it worry you. Speak clearly and don't rush. Be natural, let your personality show through. Be lively and interesting and don't be afraid to give your views when asked. You need to show interest and enthusiasm for what the interviewer tells you about the company and the job.

Find out the facts...
The interviewer will tell you a great deal about the company and the job but it is up to you to get all the information you need. Write down any questions before you go and ask them at the interview, when invited.

Be Positive...
Let the interviewer see that you are enthusiastic about the job. At the end of the interview, tell them that now you have heard all about the job, it really appeals to you and explain why.

If, however, you are not sure whether you do want the job or not - say nothing. Come away with an open mind until you have had time to really think it through. You may have liked the company but not the particular role you were interviewed for. In which case, you can then enquire as to whether they have another job more to your liking.
